It could facilitate to make the inner pocket deeper or create an inner, vertical separation on the bag wall (so that volume doesn't interfere with the width of the opening). I have also found that the side pockets are too tight to even place a pencil case, much less a water bottle, so I am not using them. This is small feedback that could perhaps improve its usability, overall I'm very happy with the bag. Thank you for making such a great product with superb lifelong support!
