Gaston Luga was created with a vision to carry your life in effortless style: a vision we are continuously striving to achieve. Founded in Stockholm, we are a producer of quality backpacks and accessories inspired by Scandinavian design and living.
Design philosophy
Our products are conceived with both Scandinavian aesthetics and functionality in mind. Bridging the gap between function and design we want to feed your everlasting curiosity and be a committed companion on both your next journey and throughout your whole life. We offer you timeless products that are focused on design, sustainability, and flexibility. By mixing the new and old with a touch of pop and underground, our products are inspired by current design trends, as well as timeless popular influences.

Sustainability and core values
Gaston Luga was founded upon the insight that the market lacks backpacks that are not only functional and versatile but also with timeless designs. Founded in Stockholm, we are not only working hard on meeting the market’s needs but also committed to incorporate our Scandinavian roots into the brand--with sustainability being one of its cornerstones.
Since day one, we have been striving towards a conscious mindset and contributing towards a better planet. For us, this is a forever ongoing process. To achieve this, we have been continuously refining our processes.
We ensure that all our products are manufactured ethically. We take great care in making sure that all the materials used, as well as our methods of transportation, have the lowest climate impact possible. For example, we have been using vegan leather instead of animal leather in all our products. All box packaging is also made with FSC certified paper and printed with soy ink.
On top of that, we have also been a carbon-neutral organization since 2019, with our partnership with Carbon Footprint Ltd to offset our carbon dioxide output by donating to the Escarpment Environment Conservation Network (Esconet) in support of a project to restore local forests in the Great Rift Valley in Kenya.
